Bodycall – Somatic Turn, re-release
Re-release of Somatic Turn, Bodycall’s first material (originally released in 2003) has just been added to our shop. Physical CD and free high quality download are available from our shop here.
Over 8 years have passed since its original release and now this material can be rightfully considered oldschool. Apart from two songs and a handful of vocals (which were recorded in a studio) all the songs were recorded in a basement of abandoned heating plant. The unique acoustics of this very appropriate setting can be heard in this raw and unpolished music.
The music contained on Somatic Turn is crude and unpolished – there is no doubt about this. There are people, who are big into this type of oldschoolish synthpop/ebm (not pure ebm, ebm-inspired at most – we know how sensitive subject this is) sounds.
We believe that Somatic Turn may be something that many fans have never registered, thus the decision to release it again and give it a second chance.
The 2003 verision was available only in cardboard box. We created some new graphics to fill the space on the booklet and inlay. The cover and inlay can be flipped over and the CD can have the old, original look or the new one.
